The St. Andrew’s chapter of MAѲ inspires students with their “Math Games Night”

Math came alive for middle and lower school students at this successful event organized by St. Andrew’s High School MAѲ members and sponsor, Lisa Winer. As the school band filled the air with cool sounds of light jazz, participants ate delicious food and explored math games like SET, Aggression, and Balance Beans. All games involved math with many on loan from the Julia Robinson Mathematics Festival. MAѲ members staffed the games, teaching young problem solvers the rules, plus tips such as how to solve the Rubik’s Cube. The goal is to continue inspiring students with this annual activity. Next year, parents will also be able to play games at their own table!
