Sallie Scudder Memorial Scholarship

The Sallie Scudder Memorial Scholarship honors Sallie Scudder, who was born to do two things: teach math and coach softball. She was passionate about making a difference in the lives of her students and had a positive influence on everyone around her. She taught calculus and softball at Berkeley Preparatory School from 1996 to 2002. She then returned to her alma mater, H. B. Plant High School, to teach until her death at the age of 36. This $5,000 scholarship is supported by donations from the Berkeley Math Club of 2000 – 2001.
